Instructional Technology: Revolution or Subterfuge.

Abstract

Technology is a term which may represent a variety of things or hide a multitude of 'sins'. This holds true in the field of education, where the terms instructional technology and educational technology are often over-used. The basic question to be answered is whether we are in the midst of a technological revolution in education or are just being led to believe so. Data were gathered using a literature search and by personal interview with a number of secondary education teachers in various Pennsylvania school systems. The accumulated data were analyzed and discussed.
