Bias in Broadcast News.

Abstract

The report discusses broadcast journalism objectivity. It is based upon contemporary writings and examines both sides of the argument in an effort to determine if bias does exist in electronic journalism. Many factors are observed to cloud the issue and have a direct influence on what the public sees and hears over the airways. After a review of proposed solutions, it is concluded that changes are not needed in current laws; rather, the solution lies in the strict and timely enforcement of them.
