Thailand: Issues and Problems after Vietnam.

Abstract

The essay traces US interests and security commitments in Thailand from 1950 to the present and highlights those post-Vietnam issues and problems which must be addressed by the United States and Thailand in the face of congressional and other opposition in light of interpretations of our commitment to Thailand under the SEATO agreement and the Nixon Doctrine.
