Models and Computer Simulation: As a USAWC Elective.

Abstract

A proposed directive for a USAWC elective is presented. The elective is designed to be presented in fourteen, three hour sessions. The objectives are to provide the student an understanding of the value of modeling and computer simulation, familiarization with basic procedures and techniques of simulation, and familiarization with computer simulation results and how they can be used. The elective is for the student with little or not experience in modeling and computer simulation techniques. It presumes no mathematical background beyound high school algebra. It includes an introduction to models andsimulation concepts and applications. (Modified author abstract)
