Basic Directions and Problems of Investigations on the Improvement of Methods for Calculating Air Cooling Systems for Gas Turbines,
Abstract
Discussed are the basic principles developed at the Institute of Technical Heat Physics, AN USSR, and the Department of Aerohydromechanics and Heat Exchange of the University of Kiev, of methodology for calculating air cooling systems for multistage gas turbines, partially with the use of various types of computer models. The recommended method is widely accepted in practice for developing efficient turbine systems with initial gas temperatures on the order of 750 - 800C. (Author)
