Cost Reduction of the Manufacturing Process for the Propellant Suspension Plate for the 34.2-mm Trainer for the 66-mm Rocket Launcher,
Abstract
The objective of the report is to set forth and evaluate the proposal for a less expensive propellant suspension plate for the training rocket for the 66-MM light antitank weapon system. The basic components of the weapon system are presented for informational purposes. The considerations necessary for the presentation of this proposal include the usage requirements, costs, and specifications involved. The testing and analysis of data are an integral part of any such engineering research project. The results of the analysis provide interpretation of the data produced in the testing. The recommendations are a natural product of the interpretation of the analysis and suggest that the proposal be accepted with an estimated minimum savings of $30,000 to $60,000 annually. (Author)
