ER Height Sensor.Technical memo,Funke,Maurice F. ;HDL-TM-72-38DA-1-T-062114-A-645, HDL-3FS34(*height finding, detectors), (*projectile fuzes, reliability), fluidics, measurement, logic circuits, automation, production control, design*fluericsThe report describes a fluidic inspection and control system designed for use with an APE 1229 artillery shell primer remover and replacer machine. Both the design and the performance of the fluidic system are discussed. This system can reliably detect changes in the heights of an artillery shell primer of plus or minus 0.02 mm (.001 in.) and demonstrates the relative effectiveness and simplicity of utilizing the fluidic technology for this function.
