Geometrical Experiments with a Hidden Line Perspective Program.

Abstract

To test a hidden line perspective program, drawings have been made of representatives of two one-parameter families of surfaces which include polyhedra, smooth surfaces, and surfaces with cusped edges. Some of the last class are poorly portrayed near the edges because one of the basic assumptions of the algorithm has been violated. The two families were generalized to obtain equations of other families that include a variety of technically interesting shapes ranging from hulls to crenellated walls. (Author)
