Cost Estimating Relationships for Gun Barrel Procurement Unit Cost.

Abstract

Cost estimating relationships (CER's) for predicting the (out-of-house) procurement unit cost for gun barrels during the investment phase of a weapons life cycle are discussed in this study. Physical/Performance characteristics regarded as 'cost drivers' were selected as independent variables. The CER presented exhibits a correlation at the one-tenth of one percent level (F-test).
