Solid State O.C.R. Scanner Development Program.
Abstract
The final results of the design and development of a tactical page scanner are delineated. The goal of the development program was to develop a scanner for character reading applications capable of optically scanning printed or typed pages by solid state means and converting the output of the scanner to a digital signal suitable for character recognition. The description of the various sub-assemblies, operating instructions and detailed logic diagrams and wiring information are included. (Author)
