Electric Generator Set, Gas Turbine Engine Driven, Skid-Mounted, Alternating Current, Multi-Frequency.

Abstract

The report concludes a study performed on 30 KW and 60 KW ground power units for the U.S. Army. Sections 2.0 through 6.0 provide the details of the introduction; generator set description; the engines, electrical systems and packaging investigations and discussions. These sections contain the background data from which this summary was derived. After the section introduction, a detailed discussion of results is presented comparing the performance, physical characteristics, development, demonstration tests and costs of the six (6) proposed 30 KW turbine ground power sets. These comparisons are then discussed for a derivative 60 KW turbine ground power unit. Conclusions and recommendations are made.
