Regeneration of Information from Reports Rather than Information Retrieval 'Concept Creation'.

Abstract

The research is concerned with developing methodology for regenerating information out of a literature corpus, in response to queries. This implies that the system will store intelligence about the literature rather than references to it. Two articles on automatic extracting were used to identify concepts. These concepts provided structures from which specific conceptual units of text were identified and extracted. In turn, these units were used to answer particular questions. Each question would require an answer composed of specific related concepts. A manual methodology for exploring concept creation is presented. A direction for future search on an automatic methodology for this is also summarized.
