Thermal Extrusion of Stainless Steels,

Abstract

The article describes the effect of temperature on extrusion of two brands of stainless steel. Thermal deformation of metals at a temperature higher than room temperature, but lower than the temperature of recrystallization makes extrusion of the metals easier. The best temperature for the two stainless steels tested was 400C. (Author)
