Development of Fatigue Cracks in Specimens with Concentrators under the Action of Various Types of Load Cycles,

Abstract

The article presents the results of experiments conducted to show the features of development of fatigue cracks in flat specimens of D16T material with a central opening acting as concentrator. The specimens were tested on a special installation by different types of pulsating cycles with load factor R = 0.6. The coefficient of cycle asymmetry was r = 0.1. The nature of the influence of the type of load cycle on the rate of crack development in a specimen was established. (Author)
