Dependence of Viscosity of Liquids on Pressure,

Abstract

The investigation of each liquid included: The determination of the dependence of viscosity and density of a liquid on temperature at atmospheric pressure; The measurement of the solidification pressure of the liquid at different temperatures; and The measurement of viscosity as a function of pressure at several fixed temperatures. The investigation was conducted for several silicone liquids (polymethylsiloxane liquids (PMS), polyethylsiloxane liquid No. 5, PFMS-2 and FM-1322/300 fluids) and for VM-1 mineral oil and mixtures of different concentrations of it with gasoline.
