Analysis of Factors Modulating Morphobiochemical Differentiation of Neural Centers Involved in Ocular Motility and Proprioception.

Abstract

Due to the realization of this study, we have been able to develop Bezin. A first impression of the development of the nucleus, of Cajal, of its topographic localization in relation with neighboring structures as with its specific tinctorial characteristics has been studied. The material represents the first contribution of a serial section analysis, with alternate utilization of two different neurohistologic techniques. This possibility has greatly facilitated counting the number of cells in the nucleus. Results obtained in the youngest chicken embryos in which it is already possible to find neuroblasts with a high level of differentiation, coincides with the recently gathered information on the human embryo. Attention is called in this respect to the precocious neurofibrillar differentiation that the celluler elements of the interstitial nucleus of Cajal demonstrate, and that represent one of the first efferent cores that is differentiated at the level of the mesencephalon. In general, the nucleus is structured in an organization similar to that of the adult, around the 9th day of incubation. Around this time the general aspect of the nucleus is very similar to that described by Cajal for the human embryo of 7 weeks. (Modified author abstract)
