Volume 9 of an eleven volume report on personnel retention in the Navy and the Marine Corps gives the results of a public opinoin study (available separately only and upon request) and the findings on symposia, involving questionnaires used, officer retention, fleet operations and work hours; promotions, advancement, and discipline; education and training, personnel distributions, and attitudes.
