A Survey of Attitudes Toward and Experience with the Utilization of Social Research among Medical and Educational Sociologists.

Abstract

In a previous report, the author reported that in general, sociologists appeared hostile to applied research. To check on this impression a privately financed questionnaire was sent to half the members of the medical and educational sociology sections of the American Sociological Association. The present paper reports the design of the study and come preliminary findings. (Modified author abstract)
