This digitally addressed thin display tube is being developed to evaluate and demonstrate the feasibility of using this display concept to meet Army requirements for a computer output display. During the third quarter, the design was tested using a 160x256 resolution-element device at 55 holes-per-inch. This allowed the cathode design, switching-plate configuration, and electronic design to be tested before the full device was built. (Modified author abstract)
