An Evaluation of Fire Control Systems for Use with Automatic Cannon on Combat Vehicles.

Abstract

The report presents an evaluation of the firing accuracy of combat vehicles firing automatic cannon against ground targets. The basic performance capabilities of current weapon systems employing varying degrees of fire control sophistication. Data on closed-loop fire control systems are also presented. Conclusions based on these evaluations and an outline for future analytical effort are also included. (Modified author abstract)
