Theory of Multilayer Anisotropic Shells,

Abstract

The report a system of basic equations was derived for thin shells consisting of a large number of homogeneous anisotropic layers, taking into account deformations of lateral shift. The following assumptions are made: normal stresses on areas parallel to the reference surface are negligible as compared with tangential stresses; normal deflection is constant throughout the thickness of the shell; and the law of stress distribution for lateral shift throughout the thickness of the shell is given.
