The Calculation of (Piston) Gas Refrigerating Machines and Heat Engines,

Abstract

The report presents theoretical relationships, making it possible by the angle of rotation to determine the main parameters of the operating process (temperature, pressure volume) in gas refrigeration machines and heat engines, operating on direct or reverse Stirling, Taconis cycles and those similar to them, and to calculate the quantity of supplied or removed heat and the work expenditures. The relationships are obtained for adiabatic processes in the working cavities taking into account the 'dead' volumes. (Author)
