Contaminant Analysis of Chlorate-Candle Generated Oxygen.

Abstract

Chlorate-candle generated oxygen has been analyzed for both type and degree of contamination. Data and methods of analysis are presented for chlorine, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrocarbon levels in chlorate oxygen. Some emphasis has been placed on chlorine analysis because of the highly toxic nature of the gas; the technic for this analysis is a newly proposed method, developed in this laboratory, which allows continuous monitoring of chlorate oxygen during its generation.
