Variable Length Pulse Shaper,

Abstract

Familiar transistorized, variable-length pulse shapers have triggers with emitter couplings and amplifying stages. The proposed shaper differs in that the transistorized commutators of the triggers are connected to the base of a transistorized amplifying stage through a sequence of connected, time-allotting capacitors and diodes. The latter are directly connected to the discharge circuit of the capacitors and variable resistors are connected to the circuit for charging them. This feature of the system ensures the shaping of negative pulses, the length of which changes in relation to changes in frequency of triggering heteropolar pulses.
