Abstract

In a number of papers, measurements have been made of the oscillation relaxation time of CO2 at T about 300K. The temperature relationships that were of the most interest during an analysis of the kinetics of processes occurring in a CO2 laser were obtained through pulse excitation and in shock tube. In the present paper, a phase method was used to measure the relaxation time of CO2 molecules in the temperature interval of 300-600K in pure CO2 and to obtain data on the effect of 4He and N2 on the relaxation time in this temperature interval.
