Radar/Data Processor Interface Studies.

Abstract

The report is a documentation of work performed in support ABMDA in the definition, evaluation, and selection of the radar/data processor interface between the Advanced Field Array Radar (AFAR) and a fourth generation vector computer (Texas Instruments/Advanced Scientific Computer). It discusses the interface design considerations, and contains a suggested interface functional allocation between the radar and computer. Microprogramming is described as a means of implementing the interface while maintaining the desired modularity and flexibility. (Author)
