Assembly of Geological Data for Selected Sites.
Abstract
The report consists of preliminary studies for a multidisciplinary program of investigation of the possibility of an electromagnetic wave guide in the lower crust. The studies are: A review of the pertinent geologic literature on possible sites for electromagnetic and seismic field studies; Collection of gravity data for some of the sites, and Preliminary investigation of the use of non-explosive sources for deep reflection profiling and short refraction profiles; and A review of information pertinent to the composition of the continental crust.
