Product Strengthening by Plastic Deformation,
Abstract
The solutions and analytical analyses of problems of bending and torsion, which greatly facilitate calculations with consideration of deformation reinforcements and residual stresses, are examined in this book. The problem of plastic deformation of rods made of cold-worked materials with different resistances to expansion and comparision is discussed. The results of this solution is important for determination of complex form changes of products (warping) after various disruptions of equilibrium of internal forces (heating, etching, mechanical processing, etc). Several typical examples illustrating the practical application of the recommended methods are examined. The book is intended for scientists and engineers working with problems of plastic deformation. (Author)
