The report discusses a program of study, design and development leading to the fabrication of new high performance 20 amphere hour mechanically rechargeable zinc/air batteries capable of meeting the requirements listed in the U.S. Army Electronics Command Technical Guidelines for new mechanically rechargeable zinc/air battery design, dated 25 August 1970.
