System Modeling and Statistical Data Processing.

Abstract

The paper contains a brief review of research activities in system modeling and statistical data processing for the period April 1972 through March 1973. Research has been concentrated in the following areas: The innovations approach to dynamic signal detection and estimation; Learning with finite memory; Broadcast channels; Other aspects of communication theory and information theory concerned with the fundamental structural properties of data processing systems and with the development of new data processing algorithms. Detailed research results are contained in the referenced 44 publications or presentations accomplished to date in this program. Research is continuing in these areas. (Author)
