Visualization of Secondary Flows in Planar Nozzles.

Abstract

A flow visualization study in planar nozzles having rectangular inlets from circular ducts produced clear photographs of secondary flows at nozzle exits. It also provided information on the effect of the Reynolds number on these secondary flows. Air was used as the flowing fluid and the flow field was visualized with the aid of smoke.
