Helices under Load,
Abstract
Previous solutions for the case of close coiled helical springs and for helices made of thin bars are extended to cover all the range of geometric parameters. The complete solution is presented in simple graphs, convenient for the use by designers. The theoretical development is correlated with new experiments. (Author)
