The Performance of 31 and 127 Bit Elastic Surface Wave Encoders and Decoders.

Abstract

The use of elastic surface waves to generate and correlate a 31- and 127-bit maximal length bi-phase modulated code for secure anti-jam communications is given. Included is an experiment and theoretical study of the effect of temperature differences and doppler shifts on the performance of surface wave encoders and decoders. Data is given for the selection of the optimum sequence and materials for a given application. (Modified author abstract)
