Super-High Frequency-Scanned Antennas,

Abstract

The first article in the collection reviews the general properties, and the capabilities, of frequency-scanned antennas. The next four articles are devoted to the theory and application of a number of concrete waveguide systems in antennas using frequency control. An article which discusses the switching method, takes up the general features, and the capabilities, of switched antennas. Subsequent articles consider questions of non-linearity of phase distribution, and phase errors in the antenna aperture, connected with the switching method of control, as well as the properties of semiconductor diodes as switches. The materials in these articles are of value for other types of scanned antennas as well. The concluding articles in the collection take up questions of the theory involved in various super-high frequency antennas, and their elements.
