100 Megawatt Amplifier Development.
Abstract
The purpose of the program was to design and build an extremely high power klystron amplifier. Performance objectives for the tube were 100 Mw peak power output with a bandwidth of 400 MHz centered at 3.35 GHz. Minimum requirements were 75 MW at 300 MHz bandwidth. Duty cycle was 70 pps by 1 microsec maximum. (Modified author abstract)
