Nitrogen and Hydrazine Leakage of Monopropellant ACS Valves

Abstract

The report documents an in-house test program which was conducted by the AFRPL to expand understanding of the gas and liquid leakage flow phenomena associated with monopropellent hydrazine attitude control system (ACS) valves. Over 800 gas (nitrogen) and liquid (hydrazine) leakage tests were conducted on two each hard seat, teflon seat and hard seat valves.
