The Isointensity Method for Gas Temperature Measurements.
Abstract
A more systematic formulation of the well-known isointensity emission method for gas temperature measurements is presented, and ppplication to the OH radical is reviewed. Since isointensity absorption studies are less prevelent than those of emission, the application of the isointensity method to absorption is discussed, and the equation relating temperature to absorption spectra is derived.
