A Cost Effectiveness Comparison, LPSD (Listening Post Surveillance Devices), AN/PPS-14 and PSID (Patrol Seismic Intrusion Detectors), AN/GSQ-151.

Abstract

A cost effectiveness comparison of the Listening Post Surveillance Device (LPSD) and Patrol Seismic Intrusion Detector (PSID) was conducted to provide DA-ACSFOR with the relative cost effectiveness of the two devices when used at the infantry small unit level to perform essentially the same functions. The report was approved by DA and resulted in termination of R and D on the LPSD as recommended in the report. (Author)
