Axial Impact of a Cylindrical Shell on the Surface of Compressible Fluid,

Abstract

The article considers the impact of a thin elastic shell of circular cross section, with a rigid flat leading edge and fluid filler, against the horizontal surface of a quiescent compressible fluid. The velocity of the impact is directed along the axis of the shell perpendicularly to the surface of the fluid.
