Spectrophometric Techniques for the Study of Electrode Processes.

Abstract

The report includes a discussion on the types of electrochemical mechanisms which can be studied and evaluated by spectroelectrochemical methods using optically transparent electrodes (OTE); description on the preparation and properties of a new kind of optical electrode, the transparent mercury-platinum OTE; and a discussion on the spectroelectrochemical study of metal deposition and stripping, and of specific adsorption on the Hg-Pt OTE.
