Geographic and Monthly Variation of Very Large and Very Small Typhoons of the Western North Pacific Ocean.

Abstract

Twenty-four years of typhoon data (1945-1968) were evaluated to determine if there are geographic and seasonal variations in very large and very small tropical cyclones of typhoon intensity. The results show that there are indeed distinct geographic and seasonal preferences for both large and small storms. (Author)
