An Introduction to Marine Mammal Technology

Abstract

The report comprises written versions of five lectures given during an introductory course of instruction in marine mammal technology. The topics covered are the history of marine mammal technology, the classification and description of common species, natural and trained behaviors of small cetaceans and sea lions, and methods of capture, selection, and transport.
