HF Laser by Direct Electrical Discharge Excitation,

Abstract

Using a high current, long pulse, electron-beam stabilized electrical discharge, laser oscillation has been observed from 2.8 to 3.1 microns on vibration-rotation bands of HF in mixtures of argon with HF, argon plus hydrogen with HF, argon plus deuterium with HF, argon plus nitrogen with HF, and pure nitrogen with HF.
