Computer Simulation of Hard Rock Tunneling. Volume II - Addendum

Abstract

A model of the hard rock tunneling process is developed including a three-dimensional stratified geology, a modular representation of many excavation system possibilities, and a cost-accounting system to facilitate cost-benefit analysis of tunneling system performance. This supplement to Volume 2 provides documentation and program guides for a cyclic drill and blast control program and a stochastic boring machine failure model. (Author)
