Toward a Theory of Managerial Succession.
Abstract
It is stated that managerial succession is an important organizational phenomenon which deserves consideration and research. A comprehensive review of the literature pertaining to managerial succession is presented. The report presents briefly the infrastructure of the existing theory of managerial succession in order to provide the reader with an encapsulated overview and a clear observation of the problems and inconsistencies which exist within that conceptual system.
