Aerospace Applications of Stochastic Continuous-Time Nonlinear Programming.
Abstract
The Grant was provided for research into the theoretical and practical aspects of the use of advanced mathematical programming techniques in systems planning and control, particularly in areas such as production, inventory, logistics, transportation and other areas in which linear programming and related techniques have found successful applications. There have been two major developments: Firstly, in order to extend known static programming results in finite dimensional spaces to problems involving continuous-time in particular, certain known results in finite dimensional linear and nonlinear programming have been extended to infinite dimensional abstract spaces; Secondly, certain existing results in continuous-time programming were extended to more general situations.
