Time Evolution of Finite Power Density Blast Waves,

Abstract

In the report the experimental results of a detailed study of the time evolution of electrically generated finite power density cylindrical blast waves are presented. The detailed time history of the electrical energy release to the gas is obtained by simultaneous monitoring of the discharge voltage and the discharge current. The shock hydrodynamic flow structure is obtained via laser interferometry. (Modified author abstract)
