Operation of Electrical Equipment of Trucks in Winter (Ekspluatatsiya Elektrooborudovaniya Avtomobilei Zimoi),

Abstract

The characteristics of the operation of electrical equipment of trucks in winter are described. The working capacity and reliability of the electrical equipment of large Soviet made trucks is analyzed in the course of tests at low outside air temperatures. The scope of the work, methods and equipment are recommended for the technical servicing of electrical equipment, the characteristics of the electrical equipment of experimental types of trucks designed for 'northern' use are discussed, and a brief presentation is given of certain features of starting engines in winter.
