Quasiperiodic Earth Gravity Variations, Their Nature and Scientific-Practical Significance (Kvaziperiodicheskie Variatsii Sily Tyazhesti Zemli, ikh Priroda i Nauchno-Prikladnoe Znachenii),

Abstract

The results of investigations which have been conducted at the Institute of Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR since 1963 concerning the variations of gravity are considered. As a result of these investigations, the quasi-periodic variations of the earth gravity are found. The essence of the discovery consists in the fact that a phenomenon of quasi-periodic changes in the earth gravity unknown previously and evoked by the endogenic processes of formation and development of its structure is established. The intensity of the changes is usually up to 0.03 mGal/year in zones of perturbations - of an order of 0.1 mGal/year.
