Primary Irritation Evaluation Program.
Abstract
ENT 35656 aGa, and ENT 35672 aGa which are candidate repellents, were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin irritation. The data obtained serves as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds. The interpretation of these compounds is that they should be used only human skin found by examination to have no abrasions or may be used as a clothing impregnant. However, if the compounds might come in contact with abraded skin, a phophetic patch test should be conducted on human skin to determine primary irritation potential. (Author)
